This portal serves as a central hub that aggregates and enhances the visibility of active funding sources, comment solicitations, research opportunities, events, and other participatory initiatives geared towards advancing transportation electrification – primarily across Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
This list is managed by Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability as part of the Southeast Electric Transportation Regional Initiative (SETRI).

Plug-In NC and Circle K have launched the Circle K Charging Challenge for National Drive Electric Week 2023. The first driver to charge at five NC Circle K locations with EV charging listed in the link and fill out a survey will win a gift card to Circle K and three months of free charging. The "DRIVE Electric USA" project number one involves the shown 14 states and is providing fiscal assistance and guidance towards either building from scratch or strengthening current statewide "Drive Electric" initiatives in their states. In this webinar, the leaders from those initiatives will briefly describe their work on their initiatives. The presentations will be focused on their efforts across seven "Priority Areas" of electric vehicle (EV) adoption and barrier-busting work like building their statewide initiative, deepening their utility partnerships and working on incentives, assisting communities in creating EV charging plans, grassroots in-person education, engaging elected leaders about EVs, and building EV dealership relationships and programs. For the Southeast, this includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia (plus other states nationally).

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will co-host a webinar with the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) with tips for transit agencies to work with public electric utilities as they transition to zero-emission vehicles. Attend to learn more about reviewing the physical infrastructure and power-supply required to charge multiple battery electric buses at a time, and ways to work out the most favorable rates.
