This portal serves as a central hub that aggregates and enhances the visibility of active funding sources, comment solicitations, research opportunities, events, and other participatory initiatives geared towards advancing transportation electrification – primarily across Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
This list is managed by Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability as part of the Southeast Electric Transportation Regional Initiative (SETRI).

The US Department of Energy is seeking applicants for TSED grants to support engagement, economic development, and other benefits in communities that may be affected by the construction and operation of interstate or offshore transmission projects. Eligible applicants include state, tribal, and local governments. Among eligible project categories, community-based projects can include, for example, energy investments, such as electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This webinar, hosted by The Southeastern Transportation Research, Innovation, Development and Education (STRIDE) Center addresses two recommendations from a previous STRIDE project, A Framework for the Development of a Diverse Transportation Workforce in the Southeast Region - the development of a repository on workforce development in the Southeast and a transportation curriculum to address diversity equity and inclusion. The webinar will include two separate and connected presentations on these two topics. The first half will introduce to the repository that the research team developed. The second half will address the impact of transportation equity and workforce pluralism on the local economy and public health.
