Southeast Portal for Electric Transportation Opportunities

This portal serves as a central hub that aggregates and enhances the visibility of active funding sources, comment solicitations, research opportunities, events, and other participatory initiatives geared towards advancing transportation electrification – primarily across Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.

This list is managed by Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability as part of the Southeast Electric Transportation Regional Initiative (SETRI).

The US Department of Energy is seeking applicants for TSED grants to support engagement, economic development, and other benefits in communities that may be affected by the construction and operation of interstate or offshore transmission projects. Eligible applicants include state, tribal, and local governments. Among eligible project categories, community-based projects can include, for example, energy investments, such as electric vehicle charging infrastructure. DOE requires applicants to express an interest in applying for funds by submitting concept papers no later than October 31, 2023. Full applications will be due April 5, 2024. See link for details.
