Southeast Portal for Electric Transportation Opportunities

Hosted by the National Renewable Energy Lab, this webinar will provide technicians or other school bus fleet personnel with an overview of high-voltage risks, safety, and protection. This course will be presented live and include time for Q&A. It will also be recorded and made available online with associated testing materials for school districts to incorporate into their internal training programs.

Organizers will discuss the grant program landscape and opportunities to support electric vehicle (EV) and clean transportation options and expand the network of EV charging stations at Virginia travel locations.

This webinar will provide an overview of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 2024 Clean School Bus (CSB) Rebate Program, including eligible applicants and activities, how to apply, and next steps and resources to potential applicants and interested stakeholders. 

The Electric Vehicle Working Group (EVWG) was formed by the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation to make recommendations to the Secretaries of Energy and Transportation regarding the development, adoption, and integration of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty electric vehicles (EVs) into the U.S. Members of the public who would like to participate may do so virtually and must register for the meeting. Tentative meeting agenda includes a report out and discussion lead by each of the three subcommittees: -Medium/heavy-duty adoption -Grid integration -Charging network

On Sunday September 29th, 2024, in collaboration with Sugar Hollow Solar, Asheville Hunter Volvo, and the Tanger Asheville Outlets, the Blue Ridge EV Club will host its 11th annual National Drive Electric event at the Tanger Asheville Outlets from noon to 4pm (rain date Oct. 6th). Attendees will be able to see and ride in a wide variety of EVs.

Electricarpalooza is Central Virginia’s annual celebration of National Drive Electric Week. The event includes a policy summit and speaker, EV ride & drives, e-bikes, and more. See link for registration details.

The Knoxville Electric Vehicle Association (KEVA), Pellissippi State Community College (PSCC), and Drive Electric Tennessee (DET), are hosting an event during National Drive Electric Week. The event will feature electric vehicles on display, ride and drives, vendors, and more.

Evolve KY is hosting an outdoor event that showcases a variety of vendors related to energy-efficiency technology and driving electric. EV test drives will be available. Free and open to the public.

The Lake Frederick community will show their EV's and invite others in the northern Shenandoah Valley to attend or display their plugin vehicles of all descriptions.

This event at Munn Park will feature a wide variety of all-electric and plug-in-hybrid vehicles on display, including SUVs, pickup trucks, and E-Bikes.

National Drive Electric Week event at Wake Tech Hendrick Center - that includes scheduled building tours featuring Wake Tech's hybrid and EV program. Over a dozen individuals and dealers will have hybrid and EVs on display.

The North Carolina Zoo is hosting a free public event, showcasing all-electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid automobiles. Attendees will can learn more about the variety of electric vehicles (EV) used at the Zoo, how the Zoo is reducing its carbon footprint, plus the NC Zoo Society and its partners will be highlight commercially available EV’s.

Join the Electric Vehicle Adoption Leadership (EVAL) Information Session to learn more about Forth's workplace charging certification program. The program provides recognition and technical assistance to organizations supporting the adoption of clean transportation. Forth will provide an overview of the EVAL Certification Program, share resources and allocate time for a Q&A session.
