Southeast Portal for Electric Transportation Opportunities

This portal serves as a central hub that aggregates and enhances the visibility of active funding sources, comment solicitations, research opportunities, events, and other participatory initiatives geared towards advancing transportation electrification – primarily across Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.

This list is managed by Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability as part of the Southeast Electric Transportation Regional Initiative (SETRI).

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Interconnection Innovation e-Xchange (i2X) program and Joint Office of Energy and Transportation, through a Partnership Intermediary Agreement with ENERGYWERX, announced the Innovative Queue Management Solutions (iQMS) for Clean Energy Interconnection and Energization program. This program will award $11.2 million to no more than 25 distribution utilities to pilot innovative solutions for managing renewable energy and electric vehicle (EV) charging interconnection and energization queues. The Southeastern Team Reducing the Impacts of Diesel Emissions (STRIDE) Collaborative is part of EPA’s National Clean Diesel Campaign, a program combining regulatory measures with voluntary initiatives to reduce the pollution emitted from diesel engines across the country. The STRIDE Collaborative holds a monthly call held every 3rd Wednesday of each month typically consisting of a guest speaker as well as updates and discussion from around the region.

The Clean School Bus Program (CSBP) in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides for an unprecedented level of funding to update school bus fleets – to date, the Environmental Protection Agency has awarded almost $3 billion to fund approximately 8,500 bus replacements at over 1,000 school districts. With a new round of CSBP on the horizon, now is the time to learn more. This webinar will feature two districts that have electric buses in their fleet.
