This portal serves as a central hub that aggregates and enhances the visibility of active funding sources, comment solicitations, research opportunities, events, and other participatory initiatives geared towards advancing transportation electrification – primarily across Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
This list is managed by Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability as part of the Southeast Electric Transportation Regional Initiative (SETRI).

The Appalachian Regional Commission's (ARC) Appalachian Regional Initiative for Stronger Economies (ARISE) is a funding opportunity that aims to drive large-scale, regional economic transformation through multistate, collaborative projects across Appalachia. ARISE projects must address at least one of ARC’s five strategic investment priorities: 1.) building workforce developments, 2.) building businesses, 3.) building infrastructure, 4.) building regional culture and tourism, or 5.) building leaders and community capacity.

NCDOT can fund up to 80% of the cost to build EV chargers in the state’s cities and towns through Phase 2 funding provided by the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program (NEVI).
