This portal serves as a central hub that aggregates and enhances the visibility of active funding sources, comment solicitations, research opportunities, events, and other participatory initiatives geared towards advancing transportation electrification – primarily across Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
This list is managed by Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability as part of the Southeast Electric Transportation Regional Initiative (SETRI).

"Beginning January 1, 2023, if you buy a qualified used electric vehicle (EV) or fuel cell vehicle (FCV) from a licensed dealer for $25,000 or less, you may be eligible for a used clean vehicle tax credit. The Clean Fuels Summit, organized by Louisiana Clean Fuels, is a clean transportation conference and expo in the Gulf-South that explores technologies and best practices for public and private fleets seeking to reduce their transportation emissions.

The State Energy Office (SCEO) received formula funding through the US Department of Energy’s (US DOE) Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program to award subgrants to projects and programs that improve energy efficiency, cut carbon emissions, and reduce energy use in South Carolina. "Transportation electrification" among eligible categories.

The Clean Bus Planning Awards (CBPA) provides school and transit bus fleets with free technical assistance to develop comprehensive and customized fleet electrification transition plans. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Note: CBPA is not an incentive program, and fleets do not receive direct funding—rather, selected applicants will be allocated technical assistance resources by NREL.

The program will provide a one-time credit for to help cover the costs of preparing a residence for an electric vehicle charger. Customers may apply for one rebate per EV registered to each address. Details and credit amounts will vary by location - see link for details (subject to change).

Georgia Power will design, install, own and maintain the behind the meter electrical equipment up to the charger for public facing projects up to $300,000. This includes electrical panels, wires, conduit, etc. Georgia Power’s standard line extension policies will be used to access the utility side of the meter upgrades that may be needed. These costs may qualify for Make Ready program funding as well. See link for details and eligibility (subject to change).
