Southeast Portal for Electric Transportation Opportunities

This portal serves as a central hub that aggregates and enhances the visibility of active funding sources, comment solicitations, research opportunities, events, and other participatory initiatives geared towards advancing transportation electrification – primarily across Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.

This list is managed by Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability as part of the Southeast Electric Transportation Regional Initiative (SETRI).

This RFI seeks public input to help inform DOE's implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, Section 50143 to provide grants for domestic production of efficient hybrid, plug-in electric hybrid, plug-in electric drive and hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles.

Comment opportunity: Per EPA's authority under the Clean Air Act section 202(a), EPA will propose a comprehensive set of emissions standards for greenhouse gases and criteria pollutants for the light-duty vehicle sector as well as medium-duty vehicles (i.e., Class 2B and 3 vehicles). The standards will begin with model year 2027 light-duty vehicles, with stringency levels set at least through model year 2030.
